As the above memorial hall shows the data about the changing history in the field of the breeding of plants by panel and model, it also can be used as learning place for adolescents .
"Jayucheon" Well means "spring like the milk from loving mother". When Dr. U's mother died in Japan, he couldn't attend funeral because of Japanese control. At that time he collected condolence money offered by people from all walks of life, and spent the money in digging well for his laboratory and the people in the neighborhood who suffered from the shortage of water. He used the well in common with the people in the neighborhood, and especially he cleaned around the well every morning before beginning a day's work.
"Jayucheon" Well is the place containing Dr. U's affection and spirit.
Dongnae-gu office named the road between Minam rotary and botanical garden "U Jangchun Street" in memory of his ceaseless study spirit and worldwide accomplishments which he made in the field of breeding science.
